At work we’re getting ready to start a program next month called 1,000 Points of Love. Our friend Joe thought this up and we love it. We’re going to ask friends of the Crazy Dog Facebook page to send us pictures of their dogs, which we will post in a big “heart” on the page as the pictures come in. The owner of the company is going to donate $1 for every picture submitted, up to $1,000. Then the lump sum is going to be given to a charity that supports kids and pets. We’ll let you know about the charity when we’re ready to roll next month so you can all send pictures of your dogs. One of the reasons we’re so excited about this program is it doesnt cost our friends anything! But it can’t be successful without the “contribution” of dog pictures.
It will be a good opportunity for parents to show kids how they can contribute something that will help other kids. There are lots of ways to “contribute” it doesnt always have to be giving money. And they will also learn about dogs that help kids. I call that a win-win situation!
