Halloween for Pets

Halloween is an exciting day for pets. Doorbells ringing and strange people there when it opens are sure to put both dogs and cats on edge. While trick or treaters are out and about, our little cat stays in the TV room with the channeled tuned to Animal Planet and the door shut. One dog, a whippet, stays home in her crate in her crate. The other, a Lab-Rhodesian mix, goes with an adult to chaperone the trick or treaters. She’s very calm and friendly, but if danger is close the ridge on her back will stand straight and she will snap to attention to alert us. Luckily the last few years, the shopping strips or malls host the Halloween tricksters and the evenings have been great successes for   everyone. Here are a few of the cuties we have seen.
