Do You Collect Christmas Ornaments of Your Pet?

Christmas Presents

We look forward to decorating the Christmas tree. The two things we enjoy most are looking at the ornaments that we made at school (we saved them every year!) and the ornaments of our pets! One year we made pet paw prints with their names on them. Several years we took their pictures and put them in ornament frames we painted or purchased. Friends found cute ornaments and had our pet’s names painted on them. There’s a Scooby Doo ornament – our favorite dog TV star – and several Snoopys, our favorite comic strip dog. There are carved wooden ones for each of the dogs, cats, bunnies and horses. There are cats made from painted bread dough. There are dogs in Santa hats on jingle bells. There are glass ornaments in the shape of different dogs and cat breeds. There are fancy bones with names of our dogs. There are dog houses and cat beds and fire hydrants. We have one mini Christmas tree with nothing but little dog and cat ornaments on it. There are flat wooden pet shapes that have been painted to look like our pets. We’ve always collected ornaments that looked like our pets. We enjoy them every year! Merry Christmas!
