“Take me (and my dog!) out to the ball park, take me out to the game!” This year we can take our dogs with us to 11 of the major league ball parks and be sure to check out the minor league teams in your area.  More and more ball parks are inviting us to bring our pets to a fun day at the ball park. “Bark at the Park” games are being sponsored by pet product companies, shelters and pet focused foundations. We’ve already missed a couple of the games but here’s a quick list to check out and see if there’s one in your area. There’s usually a pet parade before the game, an adoption promotion and some special treats or accessories like leashes or bandanas for the dogs. Maybe your dog will sing along like the one in this picture!

Tickets are sometimes limited and they almost all have to be purchased ahead of time – and they sell out fast! Be sure to check the rules. Kudos to the Cincinnati Reds – they have 3 games they’re sharing with pets!

April 19^th – NEW YOUR METS – GAME SOLD OUT

April 27^th – 1:35 pm ATLANTA BRAVES play the Cincinnati Reds. $30 price of fan and pet and it includes a new dog leash. One dog per person.

May 11^th – NEW YORK METS – GAME SOLD OUT

May 13^th  – CINCINNATI REDS (Great American Ball Park) pre-game parade and Dog Zone Adoption Event.$45 for person and dog. Special packages available.

May 24^th  – 3.05 pm PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES (Citizens Bank Park) take on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Limited to 50 dogs so plan ahead! $80 for you & dog and includes food and beverages between 1:30 -3:30, a Phillies leash and a $10 donation to the Pennsylvania SPCA.

June 5^th  – 7:05 pm – TEXAS RANGERS (Globe Life Park in Arlington, TX) play the Baltimore Orioles and invite you to Dress Your Dog in Ranger gear. Prizes for the 5 best dressed dogs. Pre-game parade.

June 22^nd – 1:10 pm ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS (Chase Field in Phoenix) play the San Francisco Giants.

June 22^nd – 1:10 pm KANSAS CITY ROYALS (Kauffman Stadium) will have dog-friendly areas and $35 for each human/pet includes a Royals pet bandana and a $5 donation to Wayside Waifs Animal Shelter.

July 8^th  – 7:10 pm – SEATTLE MARINERS (Safeco Field) play the Minnesota Twins. $35 for you & your dog and includes a Mariners bandana for your dog.

July 18^th  – 7:05 pm OAKLAND A’S (Oakland Coliseum) play the Baltimore Orioles and your dog is welcome.

August 26^th – CINCINATTI REDS – (Great American Ballpark) Pre-Game Parade, Dog Zone Adoption Event and special ticket packages.
