Even though the outside temperature was 11o most days we were in Las Vegas, inside the trade show things were cool! Superzoo traffic was very busy. It took all week this week to share all the people that we talked to, discuss the feedback on our new products and get our priorities listed. As tiring as the trade show was for 4 days, it was exciting and created lots of business.
Surprisingly, there aren’t many pets at a pet business show. There were a couple of booths that had puppies to attract people, one that had baby ferrets (which are illegal in California and some other states but fun to watch) a mini pony, and the aquarium manufacturers had lots of tanks full of fresh and salt water fish. Dog groomers had all day contests to show their talents at clipping and grooming dogs. Dog trainers were there with very well trained canines and there were seminars and speakers. The keynote speaker was Daymond John from Shark Tank! The Doobie Brothers were special guests of the World Pet Association and appeared at the House of Blues. New products were displayed, natural products had their own section as did spa products for pets. A mock pet store was set up to display new ideas in merchandising. Just when you thought you had checked out everything, there was more around the next corner!
