How Do Dogs Think? Are they Smart?

At work we create 4 newsletters for different audiences. Mostly we like to use the newsletters to update people on the research of animal behavior that we have access to. The more we can learn about bonding with our pets, the better companions we’ll all be.

We get White Papers and notices of studies that are completed from many different sources. Mostly they’re published in inside trade magazines that tPuppy on Computerhe general public doesn’t have access to unless they are really into digging out research. There’s always something new I learn about pets in every study we investigate.

About a month ago an article led me to a website that I found really interesting and think you might too. It’s called DOGNITION.COM  They collect extensive data on dogs and examine the trends that the research reveals. They’re digging out information daily so if it doesn’t catch your fancy today, check back for a few days. Next thing you know you’ll be signing up your dog! Are small dogs more independent than large dogs? Do big dogs bond faster with their family?  Are toy breeds more self-reliant than working dogs? Are dogs smarter than us? There are lots of things to discover there. Visit the Dog Games section for ways to do your own research. It’s fun for the whole family – the kids and the pets.  To learn more about your dog’s personality and maybe even how dogs think – visit www.DogNition.com
